Assistant Dance Captain / Core Dancer Nezhada Gomes
Nezhada Gomes was born in Canada of Caribbean background. She has attended O’Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute for performing arts, University of Toronto and currently attends Seneca College, pursuing Fashion Business Management.
Since the young age of 3 she has pursued dance through many academies; such as Dennis Moore Theatre School of Dance, Pickering School of Ballet, The Hummingbird Dancers of Oshawa and currently, Dance Caribe Performing Company.
Alongside her dance history, Nezhada has received many performing awards including "Most Outstanding Female Performer" and "Most Outstanding Individual" at the Junior Folklore Dance Festival for 3 reigning years. Also holds the title of the first Miss Teen International Dance 2011. Appearing with Dance Caribe, Nezhada took the stage for the performance of opening ceremonies of the 2015 Pan Am Games held in Toronto. She has toured with Dance Caribe as a Senior Core Dancer, previously to Trinidad and Tobago and this year will be travelling to the Philippines.
Recently Nezhada started her own small-scale entertainment company, "D'zion Entertainment", focusing on classes for the Durham District School Board. Nezhada continues to dance and teach with passion, inspiration and gratitude.
